My Grandmother is Dorothy A. Humes (James). Her Father is David James and Mother is Marry Roberts (James).

David James' parents were your great great grandparents, Robert James and Catherine Montgomery.

Robert's brother George and Catherine's sister Sarah Montgomery are my great great grandparents.

They all came over from Londonderry.

Leonard, I see you are a retired Master Chief. Our father, William George James, is a retired Master Chief as well.

He is living at a Retirement Community near you in Rancho San Diego.

He was a Corpsman during WWII. He was attached with the Marines at Guadalcanal/Tulagi (Marine Raiders) and he was also at Tarawa.

He retired around 1966.

Glad to hear some family history. Since I joined the Navy so young, it was just about the only life I knew. I retired from the Navy in February, 2006. I as in aviation the entire time I was in.

I live real close to La Mesa (South East San Diego) so it would be easy to get together. Any time is good for me.
