Happy Independence Day 2017

Greetings to my family far and wide. Hope this post finds you well on this Fourth of July.

Just wanted to share a few quick notes.

First not only do I want to wish my nephew Ryan James a Happy Birthday today but also congratulations on the birth of his son Adrian Gregory James on June 24th. Welcome to the newest James.

I received some sad news from Marie Crowley my friend from Derry, Northern Ireland, that Robert Crockett recently passed away at the age of 95. Robbie was… Continue

George James - Mountaineer

While doing research on George James and his adventures during the Alaskan gold rush, I came across the following on Google search.

The passage came from the book:'The Challenge of Rainier: A Record of the Explorations and Ascents,…

George James - North to Alaska

George James (1861-1925) was the second son of George James and Sarah Montgomery. George's younger brother was William James my great grandfather.

Forever in our Hearts

They will be greatly missed by their brother, children, grand children and great grand children.

I…

Decendants of Regina Marchand: Our Indian Blood

New Cousin Message

Hello family,

It's been a while. The James Family site has been quiet.

Yet I will keep site going as long as I can and hope to add more information in the near future. I would appreciate a quick hello just to let me know there is some interest.

As most of you know my grandfather…

Mike James and Regina Marchand

Mike James and Regina Marchand, Circa 1980
Lately I've been concentrating on my grandmother Regina Marchand's ancestry. Her family was of French extraction. As a matter of fact when she met my grandfather, Richard James, she apparently only spoke french.

Her father was William J. Marchand a farmer from North Dakota, born August 28 1877. Here mother was Clara Currie (actually… Continue
